But, as you’ll find out, Orlando has so much more to offer as there are different areas within in Orlando as well as beautiful cities surrounding Orlando.

The nights in Downtown Orlando go late, with most places closing at 2 a.m. Downtown is where the Orlando City soccer stadium is, as well as the area where the Orlando Magic play.

These venues are also where most concerts are held and are always lively when there’s a game going on. There are plenty of high-rise condos, apartments, and even houses in the surrounding downtown area that are just waiting for you to live in or invest in.

There’s more to Central Florida than Orlando

You might think that Orlando is a non-stop, action-packed city that’s always on the go. But to an Orlandonian, that’s not the case. Plenty of local historic towns make for a great place to take afternoon strolls and window shop.

Winter Park, Sanford, and Lake Mary are just a few of the areas around Orlando that offer a quieter, tranquil day-to-day life. If you are looking to buy a house in this great area, be sure to check out the smaller areas that make up the greater Orlando area. Like any city, the different area codes mean different real estate, people, history, and pastimes.

Sanford Real Estate

SANFORD, FLORIDA - November 25, 2016.Sanford city in Central FloLocated right next to Lake Monroe, Sanford is an up and coming area with cute shops, delicious restaurants, fun bars, and adorable historic homes and buildings.

This town has come a long way and is always growing. The historic district is where most people go to enjoy all the town has to offer.

Most of the homes in this area were built in the 20s and 30s, but have been upgraded and done-up. Original brick-paved streets and giant oak trees can be seen all around the town. As mentioned before, this little town has a lot of real estate in its future, so investing in property there now may be a good idea!

Winter Park Real Estate

Winter Park is another suburb of Orlando that has some very expensive homes and fancy shops. The restaurants are amazing and never disappoint.

There is a lot more to this area other than just the finer things in life. There are boat tours on the local lakes that tell the history of this gorgeous town.

There are tons of parks to relax and take in some fresh air, as well as historic buildings and homes all through the town.

While this area IS expensive when it comes to real estate, locals are willing to pay for the elusive 32789 area code. There are plenty of upcoming nearby places that the younger generation are moving to such as College Park, Thornton Park, Baldwin Park, and Audubon Park. These areas offer their own great perks including tons of restaurants, shops, history, and amazing real estate.

South Orlando Real Estate

From a local’s perspective, living on the south-side of Orlando can be a bit overwhelming. While that provides you quick access to the parks and nightlife, it can be a bit “touristy” over there.

Don’t get us wrong, we love our tourists! They make a large chunk of our amazing economy. However, traffic is usually a nightmare and most places are bustling and busy.

There are great places to buy homes on that side of town, including the Dr. Phillips area, Winter Garden, Windermere, and Ocoee, just to name a few other cities close to that side of Orlando. These areas offer their own gems and definitely deserve to be checked out.

The bottom line: Orlando is a really HUGE city. It is an amazing place to live because you really can’t ever be bored. Whether you want to party and enjoy the nightlife, relax and jet around on a boat, check out the history of the city, or just stay home and relax, there is definitely a downtown area or suburb of this city that is right for you.
